Curry night - Friday 29th November 7PM
Our curry night at the end of November is always a popular event and another one is lined up for Friday 29th November at the Cat's Pyjamas in the Market Square. Starting at 7PM, two choices are available - chicken or vegetarian. Both come with rice and naan bread and there is a full bar.
Come hungry, stay late and sink a few beers or whatever you like to drink. Another great night is instore!
The venue has a maximum capacity of 60, so places need to be reserved quickly. Go here to make a booking at £15 per person. Great value and the same price as a year ago. Partners and friends welcome too.

Introduction
Shrewsbury Lawn is a friendly and welcoming Tennis Club, set on the edge of the Quarry Park alongside the River Severn. With around 500 members, SLTC boasts six manicured grass courts and five recently resurfaced, floodlit hard courts. Our clubhouse, equipped with shower and changing facilities, as well as a bar and kitchen, makes a very pleasant hub for social events and club meetings.
We are a diverse club with a wide variety of members. All age groups and levels of ability are welcome to join. We offer social tennis, competitive league matches, and lessons from our professional club coaches.
Our membership fees are great value and relatively low cost. Further information is available on our Membership page. If you have any questions please email Gary our membership Secretary who will be happy to help.
The club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and managed by a committee under the leadership of Club Chair, Steve Pearce. We are always looking for additional volunteers to help with club sessions and events.
All members are asked to abide by our guidance on court etiquette.
Last year we were very proud to win the Shropshire LTA - Club of the Year 2023 award, presented to us by Tennis Shropshire.
In 2024, our top teams have had great success in the Summer Leagues. After playing matches all over the county, our ladies first team are champions of the Premier Division, while our second team has gained promotion to the First Division. Our mens first team, meanwhile, has been promoted to the Premier League. Great results all round!
