Providing opportunities for youngsters and developing players for the future are at the forefront of the exciting redevelopment project undertaken at St Ives Tennis Club.
While the focus has been on delivering the Advantage RedCourt surface on the two main courts, the Junior Red Court kids' area has also been a big part of the plans.
To help encourage and attract more young players the club has now introduced free membership for the 10-and-unders. 
Club chairman Chris Martin said: "We want to use this development as a springboard to help our club be a central part of the sporting community in St Ives, with key links into all the schools to help with participation.
"We are very keen to encourage local kids to come along and take part in our coach Colin Stringer's junior coaching programme."
Going forward, the club will be exploring more ways of offering opportunities for youngsters.
