Junior tennis is where it all starts and we run groups for young members every Saturday with new coach Julie Williams who started a new range of courses and sessions for kids on Saturday September 14.

The current junior courses available every Saturday are:-
11-11.30 am - Mini Blue Tots Tennis (aged 2 to 4 with a parent attending)
11.30am-12.15pm - Mini Red (aged 5 to 7)
12.15-1pm - Mini Orange/Green (aged 8 to 10)
1-1.45pm - Junior/Teen coaching (Secondary School age 11+)

HUGE THANKS to our long-serving club coach Colin Stringer who conducted his final junior tennis group coaching on Saturday August 24 before handing over the Saturday sessions to new head coach Julie Williams.
Colin, who received cards and presents,  messaged: "Thanks to everyone who came today and made my last Saturday junior coaching so special. I’m sure you’ll make the new coach want to stay for another 24 years."

As well as teaching forehands, backhands, volleys, serves, smashes and footwork, above all we try to teach that tennis should be fun. Saturdays are brilliant!

The club is keen to develop players for the future and provides a pathway for junior players to graduate to senior tennis.

Once they have reached a standard where it will help their development, junior members are invited to join in at our senior club sessions and, over the years, a number have gone all the way from kids' coaching to representing the club in Cornwall League matches. The "graduates" include Matt Trevorrow, James Full and Tristan Wynne, who have all won club championship titles and helped the men's first team reach the top flight of Cornwall Tennis.
