ANYONE FOR TENNIS? PLAY FOR FREE AT WANTAGE TENNIS CLUB!

The 2026-7 Season starts on April 1. New members are invited to join now and enjoy immediate membership to March 31 2027.

Click on the MEMBERSHIP tab at https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/WantageLawnTennisClub scroll down to select the appropriate category and click on JOIN NOW. Create a personal ClubSpark account to ensure hassle-free booking and regular communications from the Club.

Membership includes:
•   social and match practice sessions
•   balls supplied free of charge
•   free online court booking to organise your own play
•   free floodlights for evening play
•   the facilities of an excellent Clubhouse.

Coaching is available from Club Coach Andy Aitken and AA Tennis.

Wantage Tennis Club at Manor Road Park is an inclusive and friendly club providing opportunities for all, all year round, to enjoy social play and match play.

PLAY YOUR WAY TO WIMBLEDON 14U JUNIOR EVENT

Ever pictured yourself striding onto the world-famous grass courts at Wimbledon? Well, now is your chance.

Play Your Way to Wimbledon 14U boys' and girls' singles events
Club winners go on to play at the County Finals for the chance to play on the grass at Wimbledon

Saturday 9 May from 2-5pm (timing tbc)
Reserve day Sunday 10 May 4.30-6.30pm

This event is open to players under the age of 14 and born between 2012-2015. An LTA Advantage number and World Tennis number (WTN) are needed. Entry is free to members and non members are welcome to participate for a fee of £5.

Entry is via the LTA Competitions Management System (CMS) here and enter the event you wish to compete in. Any queries email Rosemaryrey7@gmail.com Entries close on 2 May.

Breakfast at Wimbledon opportunity:
Everyone who signs up to compete in a venue stage event has the chance to win a money-can’t-buy exclusive breakfast and day out experience at The Championships, Wimbledon this summer. Players will be chosen at random. Everyone has the chance to win this prize!

To join Wantage Tennis Club click here or go to the "Membership" tab above - select the appropriate category, and we'll look forward to seeing you on court!

You can "try before you buy" by joining in on a couple of our Social Sessions for free (Thurs evening & Sun morning are best). Membership is available at a reduced cost per month for remainder of the current season. The new season starts on April 1. Adult Membership for 2026-7 is £160 with reductions for couples, families and concessions.

Wantage Tennis Club has always welcomed players of all abilities and there are many opportunities all year round for social play as well as match play. If you have enjoyed playing on the public courts, are new to tennis or returning after a break, have just moved to the area or wish to test the water with some social play, whatever your age or ability, you are WELCOME at WANTAGE TENNIS CLUB.

Match-play is available throughout the year and new Members who wish to play competitively will be able to find a place in one of the squads. We have a number of Mens, Ladies, and Mixed teams playing in the Oxfordshire League at the weekends, and a Mixed team playing in the Newbury League on a Monday evening.

Non Members can book Courts 5 and 6 which are Pay and Play (£7.00 per hour plus £2.50 for floodlights.) BOOK HERE

We are always keen to have new members. If you would like to play please contact the chairman or secretary (https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/WantageLawnTennisClub/AboutUs/Contact), who can arrange for you to join an appropriate session.

There are currently three adult social mix-in sessions a week. These are on:
Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm
Thursday evenings from 6:00pm
Sunday mornings from 10am to 12:30

Additionally we have:

Senior Servers - Relaxed Seniors Tennis
• Tuesday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00
• Wednesday mornings from 11:00 to 12:00
• Friday afternoons from 14:00 to 16:00 BST in the Summer (13:00 to 15:00 GMT in the Winter)

Ladies Daytime Social Tennis Group
• Our new Ladies Daytime Social Tennis Group will run weekly on Mondays, 2 - 3:30pm from 7th April.

Members are also welcome to bring guests to play on Club courts, a £2.50 guest fee is payable by the member. Just enter the guest's name during the booking process, payment by card. Alternatively contact the Treasurer for payment details.

Safeguarding

The key Safeguarding Documents that all members are asked to read are: Safeguarding Statement 2023 and Safe and Inclusive Code of Conduct 2023. All the Club safeguarding Rules, Regulations and Policies have been updated and can be found here.
