Code of conduct

As in all good clubs DTC expects a certain standard of behaviour thus creating an atmosphere so all can enjoy their tennis

Tennis

• The padlock code MUST NOT be given out to non-members
• Courts must be booked and player names noted on the booking (including guests)
• Guests must be accompanied by a paid-up member and a guest seeion fee paid (refer to Guest tab)
• Suitable soft soled/non-marking tennis footwear must be worn at all times
• Appropriate attire must be worn . Tops must be worn at all times
• No bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters or animals are allowed on courts  
• Net cords must be lowered after play
• No cigarettes, alcohol or chewing gum are allowed on court
• Players/supporters to make sure all litter is placed in bins
• No photography without express permission of members and/or parents

Table Tennis

• Clubhouse keys MUST NOT be loaned out
• Clubhouse must be booked and player names noted on the booking (including guests)
• Guests must be accompanied by a paid-up member and a guest seeion fee paid (refer to Guest tab)
• Suitable soft soled/non-marking footwear must be worn at all times
• Appropriate attire must be worn . Tops must be worn at all times
• No bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters or animals are allowed in the clubhouse
• Table Tennis equipment must be wiped down and stored - refer to instructions in clubhouse
• No cigarettes, alcohol or chewing gum are allowed in the clubhouse
• Players/supporters to make sure all litter is placed in bins
• No photography without express permission of members and/or parents

Match Etiquette

• In case of line disputes a LET should be played
• Players should always shake opponents’ hands at the end of match - subject to health & safety guidance
• No ball or racket/bat abuse is acceptable and no net jumping (tennis)
• No foul or abusive language  
• Unsportmanlike, noisy behaviour will not be tolerated
• Short sets/matches to be played if other members are waiting to play - for non-booked  sessions

Security

• When leaving the tennis court please ensure you lock the gate
• Turn off all floodlights
• If leaving the clubhouse ensure lights, heaters & kitchen appliances are turned off
• AND ensure all windows AND doors secured
