• FLOODLIGHTS – As some of you may have noticed 2 floodlights are currently out on court 1. The replacement of the bulbs and possible repair of the lights is currently scheduled for Monday 18th October (weather permitting). Courts 2 & 3 may also have their bulbs replaced at the same time (this depends on the cost of any repairs on court 1). Court 1 has been booked out all day. If the bulbs are to also be replaced on courts 2 or 3 players on these courts may be asked to move to court 1 so that this may be carried out. • COURT RESURFACING – As noted at the AGM the plan was to resurface the courts this year. The courts have seen over 20 years of play and are very close to the end of their playing life. After consultation with a number of companies Chiltern are to commence phase 1 of the resurfacing on Monday 25th October (weather & temperature permitting). The decision was made to go with tarmacadam again due to the maintenance needs of our site. Phase 1 of the re-surfacing will leave the courts unpainted with white line markings and with new posts & nets. Phase 2 in April of next year (after allowing the courts to cure over the winter) will see the courts re-painted green, with red surround. The courts will be booked out for phase 1 for 2 to 3 weeks and the car park will not be available during this time (please park across the road but please check parking restrictions!). The booking system will be kept up to date with when the resurfacing is taking place and the News page will be updated with progress. Table tennis will still be available
• CHRISTMAS DO – Friday 10th December, 7pm until late. Drinks, Nibbles & Dancing at the clubhouse (free entry). Please put the date in your diary, more information nearer the time

• COMMITTEE MEMBERS – We are still looking for members to join our committee. A number of roles are being vacated early in the New Year. The roles where we are likely to have vacancies are noted below. There are 6 committee meetings a year plus the AGM.
