3 artificial clay courts AND freshly painted hard courts
The premium artificial clay surface is gentle on the joints, reducing the risk of fatigue and injury. Offering consistent playing conditions that allow players to develop their skills and strategies. It also offers an opportunity to keep playing when other surfaces are too wet or icy.
The repaint to the hard courts has improved grip and looks fantastic.
Court 6 has markings for Pickleball for those club members who wish to play. Just book court 6.
Nets and balls available in the clubhouse to try it out.
WELCOME
York’s best known village club welcomes new members. Members benefits include: priority and discounted rates for coaching sessions, free use of our new ball machine, informal and organised social play as well as competitive club and league matches.
Our comprehensive range of adult and junior coaching programmes is delivered by a team of LTA-qualified coaches to give all players opportunities to improve their tennis and gain greater enjoyment from the game.
Adult Group coaching is on Saturday mornings 10-11.
Social tennis: Ladies Monday afternoons,.
Men's Social Sunday mornings 10-12.
Wednesday Club Night Social Tennis: Every Wednesday 6.30-8pm. Open to all members.
Poppleton LTC Singles Ladder Re-Starts Mid September 2024
We have over 30 players of all abilities playing in our internal league. Registration is open, so join us for some singles action. Please contact Tony 07809 688371 to sign up or for more information.
Facilities
Our excellent facilities include: 6 floodlit courts, three hardcourts and three artificial clay, a conservatory club-house; a bar-café, toilets, changing rooms and showers are located in the adjacent Poppleton Centre.
