We're really excited to annouce the opening of our new Padel Court.
Following many months of planning we're pleased to annouce that our Padel Court is now up and operational.
An outdoor floodlit court - situated behind our hard courts at the Poppleton Centre, Main Street, Poppleton. We're open from 8am through to 9.30pm (during the winter - longer in the summer).
Parking:
Parking is available in the Poppleton Centre Car Park.
Booking the court;
You can book online using the Playtomic App.
Equipment hire:
Rackets and Balls available to rent - just add them as extras as you complete your Playtomic booking.
Don't worry if you've forgotten to add them - they can be purchased court side - just scan the QR code.
Where to find hire equipment:
Next to the court entrance gates is a padlocked cabinet. This contains your balls and rackets - if you've opted to hire them. Please return all equipment to the cabinet at the end of your booked session.
Making a booking:
Once you've booked on Playtomic you'll be sent a confirmation email which will confirm the date, time and duration of the booking. In the body of the email will also confirm the court access code.
We have a temporary solution in place at the moment - but in due course the court access code will be presented to you in the Playtomic app as you confirm your booking.
We offer both Open bookings (where other playtomic members can join your booking based on their ranking) or you can make a standard booking where you choose who you play.
Floodlights:
The floodlights are controlled automatically for you. They turn on from 3pm onwards and automatically shut off at the end of your session (or the end of the evening play).
Member benefits:
Membership is to the Tennis Club and offers Tennis play and bookings at any time included in the fess.
The Padel Court is open for anyone to book.
We do though offer Member benefits for members of the Club.

Court etiquette:
Once finished on court please re-lock the gates and ensure that everything has been left as you found it. Please do lock up the court if no-one is immediately following you.
Balls and Rackets should be returned to the cabinet and please place any rubbish in the court side bin provided.
Avoid the muddy areas around the court:
Some of the areas around the court are a little wet and muddy at the moment. We try to provide sufficient balls to make sure you don't need to get your shoes muddy.
We'll retrieve the balls from the mud later!
Balls knocked into the Tennis Courts:
Some balls do go out of the court and the Padel Court is positioned near to the tennis courts.
If someone is playing then they will return balls for you - but please don't disupt either the coaching sessions or other members playing.
Food and Drink
The Poppleton Centre and Poppleton Social offer great choice and variety of food and drink. Please do make the most of the opportunity - but we do ask that you do not take food and drinks on the court playing area. Please keep these outside the court. Thank you.

Junior players
We're keen to allow players from all ages - but the Padel Court is not supervised so players under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
