Tennis Courts Closure

The courts will closed from Monday 31st March until further notice due to work being done to improve the courts.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to estimate a completion date as the weather dictates how fast this can be done.

Alternatively, your closest Leeds City Council parks venues are:

- Halton Dene (Primrose Valley) Park

- Woodhouse Moor Park

- Meanwood Park

- The Hollies

- Harehills Park

About the Park Courts

The tennis courts are for tennis use only. Exercising of dogs, football or other sports are not permitted.

Players can book courts 8 days in advance of their desired day of playing. For example, you can book online from 12:01am on 21st March to arrange a court booking for 29th March.

Other coaches (external to Leeds City Council) may use the parks tennis courts as long as you send your contact details and accreditation to Daniel.Burrell@leeds.gov.uk. If coaches do not adhere to this, they are not insured on Leeds City Council sites.

The Roundhay Park public tennis court site has 16 hard courts which are free to access throughout the year! The courts are located opposite the entrance to the park and are fully accessible to anyone wanting to play tennis including full time wheelchair users. Free roadside car parking is available 20 yards from the courts on Old Park Road. You can access the courts by public transport (the 2 & 12 are the buses that go to the city centre and the nearest bus stop is next to the courts on Princes Avenue). Please note there are no toilet or changing facilities at the courts.

The park courts also have weekly junior & adult coaching sessions run by qualified licensed LTA coaches. New players of any age or standard are always welcome and no previous playing experience is necessary. Please go to coaching page for more information on the coaching programme.
