Lee Hodgkin - Level 2 Accredited Tennis Coach
Lee is a part-time LTA Accredited Level 2 Tennis Coach, passing the course in August 2023 with a Distinction. He has been involved in tennis for over 30 years and has captained Mixed, Men’s and Junior Teams at Pudsey Tennis Club, coordinated multiple Winter Singles competitions and continues to play competitively in Leeds and Bradford Leagues, competing in Divisions 1 & 2 of the Bradford and District League. Lee has a keen interest in the benefits to mental health of an active lifestyle and successfully completed a course in Mental Health Awareness for Sport through UK Coaching in conjunction with Mind Charity. Lee is passionate about tennis and enjoys working with all age groups and abilities to give players skills for life. Additionally, Lee started delivering group tennis lessons on a Sunday morning at Roundhay Park from September 2023.

Saf Ahmed - Level 2 Accredited Tennis Coach
Saf is an LTA-Accredited Level 2 coach and is currently coaching at Roundhay Park and Armley Park. He has also worked in local primary schools and can run Cardio Tennis lessons. He has a huge passion for equality and equity; his goal is to bring people from different backgrounds, ages and abilities into tennis and make it a fun and enjoyable sport for everyone. Saf continues to add new skills to his coaching methods to develop himself which allows him to really excel with his players. Children and adults alike love the rapport they build with him, which allows them to really enjoy their tennis and make significant progress.

Nathan Henry - Level 2 Accredited Tennis Coach
Nathan has great knowledge and ability of the game, he lives and breathes tennis having played it since primary school, he is highly ambitious and has plans to become a full-time coach in the future, he aims to give back to the community and inspire people from all walks of life to play the sport of a lifetime, tennis.
Being a highly competitive athlete, he enjoys pushing himself in a range of sports but none more so than tennis. He brings a positive, relaxed, yet intense vibe on and off the court, loves sharing his passion for tennis with others and finds the process of developing players highly rewarding.
At Roundhay Tennis Club, he's done a stint at captaining, actively playing on both the men’s and mixed teams, assisting and delivering in the junior and adult lessons. He looks forward to being a part of the local councils' tennis community programme, he continues to take opportunities to further develop his knowledge, skills and abilities.
Nathan is really looking forward to delivering lessons to the community at the park.

Peter Gray - Level 2 Accredited Tennis Coach
From the simple beginnings of family interest, a love of the game of, tennis was born into Peter's life and the journey began. At junior level, he was selected to compete for three consecutive years in the Invitation U18 National Hard Court and Grass Court Championships of Great Britain, for two years in the U18 National Covered Court Championships at Queen’s Club (top 40 GB players) before progressing to play Open Age Tournaments and Premier Division Tennis. He was Head of Sport and Physical Education in one of Leeds most successful high schools and has dedicated much of his professional life to providing the opportunities for young people to participate and excel in their chosen sport. He remains committed to this aim by constantly seeking to improve his coaching skills through the LTA Coach Accreditation Pathway to give players the best possible and most enjoyable experience of learning to play tennis whatever their level of competence. Peter enjoys the opportunity to work with players of all ages. His philosophy is all about those he coaches having fun, finding creative ways to learn the game and players doing the best they can, with no limitations set on what they can achieve.

Private Lesson Cost - £20 per hour
Danny Burrell - Community Tennis Activator - Level 4 Accredited Plus Senior Coach
In 2019, Danny graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a Dean’s Award in Physical Education. During this time, he competed in Grade 3 tournaments for the Men’s 4th to 6th team at university, enabling him to reach his current LTA ranking of 441st nationally. Danny has coached alongside various high level coaches and has learnt much from their methods of coaching. In his role as Head Coach at Pudsey Tennis Club, he coached their junior team to the Bradford and District tennis league final and doubled the amount of players involved in the programme within a year. He has since left his role at Pudsey to further develop the programme at Sandal Tennis Club. By engaging players of varying abilities and ages from various different clubs and parks through fun lessons and friendly competitions, he has seen an incredible interest in his coaching and the coaching programme.
In coordinating tennis programmes in local parks around Leeds, he envisions that working with different clubs and venues in harmony will enable him to achieve his long term goal of increasing tennis participation and access to tennis throughout Yorkshire. The Leeds Community Tennis Programme that Danny coordinates won the LTA National Community & Parks Programme of the year in 2021. Furthermore, he is very motivated to learn about new methods of coaching to develop himself and therefore to see a greater development in the players who he coaches. This sparked his desire to complete his Level 4 coaching qualification in 2022. Lastly, he is friendly coach who welcomes everyone to try tennis regardless of their ability! Join in with one of his sessions and you won't be disappointed!
