We recently discovered that there are only 5 active referees resident in the county, meaning that several local LTA sanctioned tennis tournaments may not have gone ahead this summer.

Berkshire Tennis has therefore arranged to run a Level 5 Referee Training Course on 5th & 6th October 2024 at The University of Reading SportsPark, with the aim of growing the referee workforce in and around the county.

The course will be run by senior officials from the LTA and will cost a maximum of £75 (tbc). Most referee courses nearest to Berkshire tend to take place at the NTC in London, so having a course locally will hopefully help make it more accessible.

We would love to have as many people as possible on the course, including anyone from Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, so please do spread the word!
