2022 Play Your Way to Wimbledon Finals at SW19
Junior tennis players from across the UK took part in the national finals of the LTA and AELTC's grassroots tournament Play Your Way to Wimbledon, Powered by Vodafone, at The All England Lawn Tennis Club from 7 - 9 August.
The competitors invited to immerse themselves in the true Wimbledon experience, playing on grass, competing in whites and touring the historic Grounds and Museum. Played on Wimbledon's Aorangi Courts.
Gabriella, the Girl's County winer, came up against a top player ,who eventually won her group, and lost 6-1 6-4 on the first day. She, unfortunately, lost a very tight match 7-5 in the first set tiebreak and a close second set yesterday but managed to get a good win in her final group match on the last day. Only top 2 players would go through to the knockout stage, Gabriella ended up coming 3rd so just missed out to process to the next stage.
Zachary, Boys County winner, also took part in this event. Unfortunately, Zachary played against 2 very strong players from BED, CHE and NSC and lost both matches. Nevertheless the experience was an amazing one and he had a wonderful time at SW19
Matthew, our runner up, was also invited to take part but unfortunately, lost to stronger players from Bucks, Durham and H&W
Rory from Bradfiel TC, played in the 18U doubles said of his experience "Wimbledon was incredible, we got a tour round the whole of the grounds which felt weird as there was no crowds. All of the courts were immaculate apart from Centre and No. 1, which apart from the Championship are not used ever. We won our first group match but lost our second match closely so did not make it out the group but still had such surreal experience"

2021 National Finals
In typical Wimbledon style, there were a few rain showers during the event, which thankfully didn’t dampen the excitement.
Christian won through the qualifying round and into the main draw, he got a bye for his first round but sadly lost in the second round
Lizzy raced through her group stages but unfortunately did not make it to the main draw.
Both had some excellent singles and doubles matches and learnt a lot from their experience.
