This is a mixed gender ladder for singles play, open to beginners and experienced players from 15 years and over. To suit different levels of fitness, players will be able to choose the level of intensity, in terms of the number of sets and games to be played in each of their matches.

Rules

1.  A match can consist of either the best of 3 sets; 1 set; or the best of 9 games. Players must jointly decide before the match which option to play:

   1. Best of 3 sets with a tie break at 6-all in each set

   2. 1 set with a tie break at 6-all

   3. The best of 9 games

2. Where the two players would favour different options, it is the lowest intensity option that is to be played e.g. if one player prefers the best of 3 sets and the other wants the best of 9 games, then the best of 9 games is played.
3. All matches, regardless of which option is played are treated as equal in terms of moving up and down the ladder.
4. To arrange a match a player must challenge another participant who is up to 3 places above them in the ladder.
5. Matches must be played within 2 weeks of the challenge. If not played, the challenger wins by default.
6. The challenger is responsible for booking the court and notifying the ladder administrator of the result.

Administration of the Ladder

1. The Ladder administrator is Sara Randall on sara@randallfulton.org.uk
2. To register, email Sara with your name and preferred contact details which must include an email address plus a phone number, if you are happy to be contacted by phone.
3. On Friday 1st April players’ names and contact details will be emailed to all participants who have registered. By joining the Ladder, you automatically agree to this information being distributed to other players.
4. New participants can join at any time and on providing the contact details will be added at the bottom of the Ladder.
5. The Ladder will be updated each week on Monday morning and will be emailed to participants.
6. Participants wishing to leave the Ladder should notify Sara by Friday of that week.
