Carl Douglas, head coach at Bramford and Grundisburgh Tennis Clubs, has just been named as “Suffolk LTA Development Coach of the Year”. What is more, one of the club’s junior players, Ellie, was also named as “Suffolk LTA Young Person of the Year” resulting in two major county awards being achieved by people associated with our small community club. Carl, with some fantastic assistance from Ellie and several other older junior players and an enthusiastic range of volunteer committee members and supportive parents has helped to transform the clubs over the last couple of years. So, despite the coronavirus disruption, membership levels have continued to increase year on year, and we now have a number of men’s and ladies’ teams competing once more in the Ipswich and District leagues.
