COACH STANDARDS AND SAFEGUARDING
Our policy is to only use LTA Accredited Coaches who are experienced and qualified to the correct level to lead tennis coaching activities across all age groups for both individuals and groups (note that the coach may be supported on occasions by supervised coaching assistants and trained tennis leaders).
Our Head Coach, Carl Douglas, is an LTA Accredited Plus Coach (Level 3) who has been instrumental in helping Bramford Tennis Club to achieve the prestigious LTA Youth Recognised Venue standard which recognises the excellence of the junior coaching programme at the club.
It is mandatory requirement for a coach who is leading coaching activity at an LTA Registered Venue to hold a valid LTA Coach Accreditation membership which demonstrates that the coach will have completed all required safeguard checks and training:
- LTA Qualified, Accredited and Insured
- Safeguarding training
- First aid training
- Criminal record check (DBS or PVG for Scotland)
Coach Accreditation is industry-recognised and lets players, parents and employers know that we meet the above standards. More information on the current accreditation level for Carl Douglas can be found on the LTA Find a Coach system at:

Protecting children (everyone under 18 years) and adults at risk of abuse is as important in sport as in every other aspect of society. As an LTA Accredited Plus Coaching organisation, we are commited to the highest standards of safeguarding at the clubs where we coach, adhering to best practice guidelines defined and enforced by the LTA.
