Chard Tennis Club

We’re a friendly and thriving club that welcomes new members and promotes tennis for all ages - juniors, seniors and rusty returners! The club is an LTA registered venue, located at the Dening Sports Field, off Zembard Lane with easy access through the football club

We have 3 outdoor courts - two carpet courts which are floodlit and one artificial clay court. The carpet courts are soft on the feet, non-slip and fit to play on after rain and frost.
We also have a brilliant club house with a terrace, perfect for watching matches and soaking up the sun (when it comes out!)

Whatever your level of play, there’s tennis to suit you. We have regular club sessions for social play and plenty of opportunities for competitive tennis. Our mens, ladies & mixed doubles teams compete in the Yeovil & District league througout the year and we have a singles ladder and club tournament every summer. For more info about matches and competitive tennis, contact our club captain, Rupert Leighton - rupertleightonmusic@gmail.com

Club sessions are on Saturdays from 2pm – 4pm and Tuesdays from 7pm - 9pm. Our club WhatsApp group is a great way to check who’s going to be there and keep up to date with all upcoming events.

Non members are welcome to hire a court on an hourly basis. Go to court bookings page to see times and make a booking.
