Introduction
Welcome to South Petherton Tennis Club
A friendly welcome awaits players of all ages and abilities at SPTC.
We are a lively and sociable club, with opportunities for both social and competitive play. As well as club tournaments throughout the year for our members, we also have women, men and mixed teams playing in the Yeovil & District Lawn Tennis League. Members can join in with weekly club play sessions or book court time through our convenient online booking system.
You can find us at South Petherton Recreation Ground, where we have 3 floodlit, all-weather hard courts, providing all year round play. We are a registered LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Venue and have qualified coaches, offering both junior and adult coaching programmes.

Club Tennis
Our club sessions run every Thursday at 6pm and Saturday at 2pm and are a chance to catch up with friends for some exercise, competition and (sometimes) cake!
On the 1st Satruday of each month, there is an additional hour of open play 1 - 2pm for all members and playing-parents, as well as anyone considering joining the club. All abilities are welcome during this hour, we hope to see you there.
Every third Saturday of the month through the summer season we run a friendly competition, open to players of all abilities, with different rules each time. These are generally run by volunteer committee members so please do come down and support, even if you just want to watch and partake of the tea and snacks. Entry is usually around £2 to help towards the cost of new tennis balls. (The monthly comp doesn't run in September due to the finals of our yearly Knockout tournament.)
