A warm and friendly welcome always awaits players of all ages and abilities at SPTC.
A lively, sociable and inclusive club with opportunities for both social and competitive play. As well as weekly club sessions, tournaments and many regular friendly playing groups, we have a variety of league teams and two excellent coaches offering sessions for all ages and abilities. We particularly welcome juniors, students and adults new to tennis or new to the area. We would also like to attract wheelchair users interested in tennis.

Members of the public are also welcome to use two of our courts through the convenient ClubSpark online booking system. Charges are £6/hour. Visit the Pay and Play page for full details on how to book a court and ClubSpark registration.
You can find SPTC at the Recreation Ground, where we have three floodlit, all-weather hard courts, providing all year round play. Courts 1 & 2 are owned by the local parish council. Court 3 is owned by the club and always reserved for member use. We are a registered LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) venue and both our qualified coaches offer one to one junior and adult sessions as well as termly groups, holiday camps and tournaments - contact here. Whether you are a seasoned player, just beginning or a rusty racket wishing to return to the game, we look forward to seeing you on court.
EXCITING NEWS: Courts 1 & 2 are receiving a modern upgrade in October 2024 when they will be resurfaced in artificial grass! Thanks to our partnership with South Petherton PC, this long lasting surface will enable extended play as, unlike tarmac courts, they dry out much more quickly after rain, require little maintenance and are also much kinder on our bodies and knee joints.
