WELCOME EVERYONE TO TINTINHULL TENNIS CLUB

Welcome to Tintinhull Tennis Club

Tintinhull Tennis Club uses two excellent all-weather courts situated at the Village Recreation Ground in the heart of the village. The courts, adjacent swimming pool and recreation ground, are owned by the Village through a charitable trust, the courts being managed by the Club. Members enjoy unlimited play for an annual subscription; non-members can access the courts on a pay-to-play basis. Please refer to Membership or Booking sections for more information.

The Club is properly constituted with a management committee and is also registered with the Lawn Tennis Association of Great Britain via its Place to Play programme, and this confers on the Club benefits in terms of support and development for tennis locally. Additionally, the Club receives an allocation of Wimbledon ticket purchase options which are put into a ballot draw that eligible members can choose to enter.

Policies

Full copies of all our policies can be found   in the club hut directly behind court 1 (by the swimming pool) or under our documents tab.

Policies include:

Safeguarding (including whistle blowing)

Diversity & Inclusion

We have a  membership split equally between seniors and juniors, which we are keen to expand.  Fees at the Club are very modest as we wish to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy the game of tennis. Our junior coaching programme is very popular and well attended and takes place every Saturday morning with a qualified and licensed coach. Tennis camps are also carried out during the Easter and Summer holidays.

The courts are available all year round (during daylight hours) when not being used for coaching sessions (mainly Saturday mornings), and during tennis camps.

Non-members and visitors are very welcome, but will need to wear appropriate footwear and bring their own rackets and balls; Members guests are welcome for a small charge, please refer to the Additional Information page.

Access to the courts is secured by combination locks and all members are advised of the number each time it is changed.

Any children under the age of 16 are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times

Adjacent to the courts is the village’s heated swimming pool which is regularly open during the summer months, including evenings, and is run by fully-trained volunteers. Please see Tintinhull Village website (tintinhull.online/leisure-amenities) for more information.

Tintinhull is a delightful and peaceful village approximately 5 miles west from Yeovil and is very close to the A303.
