Chard Tennis Club

We’re a friendly club that welcomes new members and promotes tennis for all ages - juniors, seniors and rusty returners!

The club is a lively thriving club with three outdoor courts, formed in the 1920s. It’s based at the Dening Sports Field  off Zembard Lane with easy access through the football club.

We have a brand new artificial clay court, and two outdoor carpet courts which are floodlit.

All of the carpet courts are soft on the feet, non-slip and fit to play on after rain and frost.
We also have a brilliant new club house!

Whatever your level of play, there’s tennis to suit you. We have regular club time sessions for social play and for the more competitive, we enter teams in the local league matches throughout the year. We enter teams to suit all levels.

Club time is on Saturdays from 2pm – 4pm, and on Tuesdays from 7pm - 8.30pm. Our club WhatsApp group is a great way to check who’s going to be there.
