Club Rules and Regulations, Safeguarding, Diversity and other Policies
Detailed club rules, policies and codes of conduct for members can be found in the Downloads section.
Visitors
Playing visitors are welcome at the club when playing with a club member. Members can bring up to two visitors on any given day and a charge of £5 per visitor will apply for each visit. Visitors can play up to three times per season. Visitors cannot play at club sessions. The visitor fee must be paid within 24 hours of playing each time and the visitor book in the clubhouse filled in. In the event that the clubhouse is closed, members should transfer the relevant visitor fee into club's bank account and email the treasurer confirming the name of their visitor/s.
Accessing the Grounds and Car Park
Members are welcome to park in our spacious car park. If you are the last person to leave please remember to close the gate.
Accessing the Clubhouse
Adult members are able to purchase a clubhouse key for £5 (refundable on return of the key). If you are the last person to leave, please ensure all lights are turned off and all doors are locked.
Accessing the Courts
Ordinarily court keys can be collected from the clubhouse. In the event that the clubhouse is closed courts would be padlocked with the combination padlocks and all members would be given the access code.
Tennis Balls
New tennis balls are provided by the club once or twice a week - usually on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Balls are kept in the designated cupboard in the clubhouse and must be returned after play. We recycle old tennis balls so please do not take them home.
Floodlights
You can buy floodlight tokens from Club Secretary. Each token is for 30 minutes and costs £2.50. In order to comply with our floodlights planning restrictions, floodlights on Court 1 and 2 should be used before floodlights on Court 3. If all three courts are floodlit and Court 1 or Court 2 becomes available, players on Court 3 must move to one of the free courts and turn the floodlights on Court 3 off.
Floodlights can be used until 9:20pm Monday to Saturday and will turn off automatically at that time even if there is still unused token time. Floodlights can not be used on Sundays and Bank Holidays. About 5 minutes before your time runs out you will see a warning light on the floodlight post. You will need to put more tokens in if you wish to carry on playing at this point. You can put all tokens in for the duration of your booking at the start of the session.
If floodlights go out there will be a 10 minute delay before they can be turned on again.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome at the club but we ask that they are not left in the clubhouse.
Kitchen
Club kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery and crockery, glassware and cookware, microwave, oven, hob, two fridges and two sinks. We ask that our members wash, dry and put away all items they used in the kitchen during their visit.
