Charity Tournament

One of our members, Chris Lewis, is raising money for a very worthy charity, Well Child. It is a project over two weekends. On Saturday 2 September, he organised and ran a very successful friendly tournament at the club to raise funds for the above charity.

In very good weather, there was an excellent turn out and an enjoyable competition.  Chris brought refreshments, while members also contributed towards an excellent spread to round things off. There was also a raffle.

Chris would like to thank everyone who contributed financially, whether by paying a tournament fee, buying raffle tickets, or donating prizes for the event. In total at the tournament £250 was raised.

On Sunday 10 September, Chris will supplement his tournament efforts by taking part in the Great North Run. We wish Chris luck. If it is as warm as it was on the day of the tournament, he will need it!
