Gravesham Lawn Tennis Club

Gravesham Tennis Club has always been more than a place to play tennis. It's where children grow in confidence, where adults make friends, where older players stay active, and where people from all backgrounds feel welcome. As a volunteer-run CASC club, our strength has always been the community around us-members, families, local schools, and everyone who has supported or taken an interest in the club over the years.

After more than 16 years of use, our courts had reached their end of life. The committee made the difficult decision to take out a large loan so the courts could be resurfaced immediately.

The work is now fully complete, and the courts look fantastic-but the financial weight of this loan is significant, and this is where we truly need your help.

Your Donation Has Double the Impact

Sport England has backed our Clay Courts Resurface and Rally project with match funding.
If we reach our Crowdfunder target of £7,500, that shall go towards paying the loan back on the new clay courts, they will double every pound we raise making it £15,000!

Why This Appeal Matters

Gravesham needs accessible community sport more than ever. Our borough faces some of the highest inactivity and health challenges in the region, and safe, welcoming spaces like ours play a crucial role in helping people move more, connect more, and feel part of something positive.

We're proud of everything the club contributes-from children picking up a racquet for the first time to our Walking Tennis groups and Link19 learners. Our recent LTA County Award for Tennis Opened Up reflects the inclusive, community-first approach that makes Gravesham Tennis Club special.

These new courts will allow us to continue this vital work for many years to come-but only if we can relieve the financial strain of the loan we took to complete them.
