We are excited to announce the start of a new inter-club singles box league which will be starting shortly in 2026. This is an ongoing collaboration between Meopham, Gravesham, Trottiscliffe and New Ash Green tennis clubs. 

The league organiser coordinator will be Will Cornwell of Meopham and the Gravesham Coordnator is Claire Moroney.

The league is targeted at adult members and invited juniors of all four clubs who are keen to play regular, competitive singles matches. We are hoping it will attract a wide range of abilities, with boxes organised by standard.  

Players will be placed in a box of 5 or 6 players of a similar standard and during each round, players should play each other player within their box. Points will be accrued, and at the end of each period, the top player(s) from each box will be promoted to the box above and the bottom player(s) will be relegated. 

Matches will be played using the Fast4 format which means they can generally be completed within an hour.

Matches will be a combination of home and away and players must therefore be able to travel to the other clubs when required (no visitor fees will be payable, balls to be provided by home player)

Juniors wishing to play will need to be of a good standard and have the maturity to play against adults. Parents of juniors wishing to join the league should e-mail bevanclaire@sky.com to express their interest.

This interclub box league provides a great opportunity for our members to play some competitive singles tennis against a wide range of players.
