Gravesham Tennis Club Membership: your membership expires on 31st March the following year.

We have recently appointed a Young Person's Welfare Ambassador to promote safeguarding at the club amongst juniors.

Hours: the club is available for your use between 08:00 and 21:00 each day. The rugby club (GRFC) car park is locked at 9.15pm.  Please make sure you leave the grounds before then.

Access to the courts: the main entrance gate and court gates are all opened with code – please ask a committee member for the current code as it is changed regularly.  You will receive details of any further codes changes by email.  Juniors may access and use the courts without  parent or guardian from the age of 13.

Access to the clubhouse:  you will find the clubhouse locked during the day if there are no organised sessions or other members playing.  The door is accessible with a digital lock – please ask for the code (same as courts). 

Court Etiquette:   Please use the nearest gate to access your court as other members may be playing matches on other courts.  If your ball crosses to another court during play, please wait until a point is finished before retrieving.  Please be courteous at all times.  Please see our full code of conduct here.

See our Coaching page at https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/GraveshamLawnTennisClub/Coaching.  Invited juniors can take part in adult pay-as-you-go coaching groups as well as termly junior courses.

Social play – age 13 and over:  There are several free social sessions per week, Monday morning from 09:30, Wednesday and Friday evening from 18:00 as well as Sunday mornings from 10.00.  These doubles sessions are for all abilities where you play one set and then rotate.  The sessions are for adults and juniors age 13 or over.  

Court booking:  You will need to use the online Clubspark court booking system in order to play.  Courts can be booked via your browser or the ‘Booker’ app.  You are free to book a court at any time, up to 1 booking per day.  Bookings are for a maximum of 1.5 hours, 7 days in advance (from 8am).  Please go to https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/GraveshamLawnTennisClub/Booking. Book courts by parent signing in to Clubspark, then in top right hand corner change their name to their child's as only members can book court.  Your child is the member.

Visitors:  you are welcome to bring visitors to the club up to a maximum of 6 times.  Guest fees apply at £5 per adult and £3 per junior.  Guest fees are to be paid in advance by bacs to Gravesham Lawn Tennis Club, 09-01-55, account 29128608.  Please add ‘guest fee’ as your payment reference.

New Parent Buddy Membership: We have a new membership package 'Parent Buddy', cost £45 per year.  This is for parents to be able to hit with their children.   See the package on our membership page, register an account using your parent LTA login and pay separately by bacs using the bank details above.

Competitions:  We enter various junior teams in the Kent leagues throughout the summer (from April to July) and winter (from September-December).  Please speak to the Junior Coaching team if you are interested in playing for the teams.

Internal Competition:  We run singles tennis ladders, interclub box leagues, winter doubles tournament and social tournaments throughout the year.  These are adult competitions, which Juniors can play in age 13+.  Details of these and how to sign up for them will be sent out by email and via the Whats App Community group.  We have an annual Club Championships.

Floodlights: the floodlights for courts 3 - 5 require tokens.  These can be purchased from the vending machine or from Mike Barrett or Claire Moroney.  A token currently costs £3 and lasts for 30 minutes and is operated with a timer within the clubhouse.  If you would like a demonstration on how to use the timer please ask any committee member.  

The floodlights on courts 6 - 8 are free and must be manually turned on and off if you are the last player.  There is a padlocked switch on court 7 on the hitting wall - you can ask for the code.   There is a floodlight priority schedule between coaching and members.  Please refer to Clubspark's court booking schedule to see which floodlights are available to book.  Floodlit courts will be cancelled if not in use.  

Please note: No floodlights are to be used early mornings, the bottom courts’ floodlights may not be used at weekends and all floodlights are to be switched off by 9pm in the evening.

LTA Advantage Tennis membership: You should be a LTA Advantage Tennis member when you signed up to Clubspark.  Children aged 13+ can opt in to the Wimbledon ballot each year.  To play tournaments and league matches your child will require LTA Advantage membership in order for results to be logged.
