100 Year Social and Wooden Rackets Competition

What an amazing day!

Tennis has been played at our club for 100 years and we marked that today with a special event that included fun social tennis and a chance to try the fast-growing sport pickleball.

And we turned back the clock with some wooden rackets to recreate playing in the 1920s, followed by a BBQ and cake competition.

We were thrilled to be joined by the Deputy Mayor of Gravesham Borough Council, Cllr Jenny Wallace, who tried out pickleball, and by the President of Kent Tennis, Mary Evans, who presented the club with a special plaque to mark the occasion.

It's a century since our predecessor club IPM tennis moved to this site and while we mark the achievements of the past, we are also excited about the future.

Thanks to our members, volunteers and guests for making this such a special day.
