Gravesham Tennis Club is serving up award-winning lessons for its members after hiring a new Head Coach.
Gravesham Tennis Club, based off Milton Road at Gravesend Rugby Club, has announced the appointment of Thomas Martin-Jarvis who was just crowned Performance Coach of the Year by Kent Tennis.
Tom is an LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach and also works with players at Kent county level by captaining the Kent 14U Boys squad and vice-captaining the 18U squad.
It's something of a homecoming for Martin-Jarvis, who previously played for the club's Men's 1 team in his late teens. He returns, aged 30, to lead the coaching programme at his former club which this year celebrates 100 years of tennis and is offering a range of special centenary joining deals.
Club Chairman John Stevenson commented:
"We are proud to have a coach with Tom's impressive credentials join us. It's an incredibly exciting time at Gravesham Tennis Club as we celebrate a century of tennis and develop plans to move forward. Coaching of the highest quality will be a crucial part of our offering to members - now is the perfect time to come and join us."
Tom Martin-Jarvis added:
"I am delighted to join my local club, Gravesham Tennis Club, as the Head Coach. I know the club and its members have massive potential and I'm excited to be a part of delivering on that."
Any budding young Alcarazes or Raducanus can experience coaching with the new Head Coach at the club's upcoming holiday coaching camps. The sessions are available to members and non members aged 6-12 and are taking place April 9th-11th.
