Charity Day Sunday 31st August 10-3pm

We’d like to remind you about our Charity Day hosted by Bright Ideas for Tennis on Sunday 31st August from 10-3pm and hope that you can join us on this fun day.

Two ex-professional players who played Davis Cup for Great Britain (not Andy Murray or Tim Henman!) will run sessions for our members (and possibly non-members if space permits).

Bright Ideas are offering their services to the club at no cost to us and all money raised will be ours to continue our provision of free coaching to schools and colleges, including specialist provision for SEND learners.

The cost of the sessions offered will be a similar amount to what Tom charges for his group coaching lessons.

The sessions and times that will be available are:

10-10.45am – Mini Tennis (5-10 year olds)

10.45-11.30 – Junior (11-16 year olds)

11.30-12.30 – Social Adults (beginner/improvers)

12.30-1.30 – Team Adults (intermediate/advanced)

1.30-2.00 – Fastest Serve Competition

2.00-3.00 – Exhibition Match involving Tom and the Pros (and possibly some of our members!)

Numbers will be restricted as advised by the Pros so early sign up is recommended.

The top courts will be available for extra play so we hope you can stay for longer.

There’ll be a BBQ and off-court activities to join in with.

We’ll write to you again week commencing Monday 4th August with details how you can sign up online.

Kind regards,

Tom, Head Coach and the Committee
