Stetson men’s tennis head coach Christophe Noblet today announced the signing of Angus Bradshaw (York, United Kingdom) and William Shkrob (Venice, Fla.) to National Letters-of-Intent to join the Hatters next fall.
Noblet, in his first season as head coach, is excited about his initial recruiting class.
“The 2016-17 recruiting class is a major milestone for the program,” said Noblet. “Not only it is my first recruiting class, but we also need to replace three outstanding seniors. Therefore, I am extremely excited to welcome Angus and William, as I know they embrace our core values and will be tremendous assets in both singles and doubles.”
Bradshaw is one of the top amateurs in England, currently ranking No. 6 among U18 participants. He also owns a No. 55 Open ranking. Bradshaw won the Independent Schools championship in 2015, and has victories over several ITF and ATP ranked players.
“Angus is a blue collar-type of player: hard working, dedicated, and passionate,” said Noblet. “He has a lot of power on hand and can strike from both sides at any time. His serve is also a big weapon and gives him a lot of free points. He has already achieved a lot in England and he is looking to reach the next level. I cannot wait to start working with him.”
Bradhsaw was also recruited by Charlotte, Grand Canyon, Kentucky and Tulane
