Joe's farewell

From the 19th of February 2017, I will be leaving the tennis department to move to London to live with my fiancée Jess ready to embark on the next chapter of my life. The decision to leave Millfield is not one I have taken lightly and is something I have thought long and hard about with my family and friends for a long period. I have had the most amazing time and I have thoroughly enjoyed developing the culture of Millfield Tennis into one which we are all very proud of. I have learnt a great deal, developed enormously as a person and made some friends for life. This incredible school will always have a special place in my heart.

I would like to thank everyone at Millfield tennis, staff and pupils alike, especially Kate, David and the whole tennis team who put a large amount of trust in me from the word go along with everyone else at the school for the past 3 ½ years. I would like to wish you all the very best for the future and I hope to see you all in the very near soon.

A few words from Kate

I have immense gratitude to Joe for helping us set up what is now an environment that we can all be proud of.

Joe’s values and efforts have been central to how we have managed to change the culture at Millfield Tennis. He has helped every player in their efforts to maximise their potential and has done it without ever showing anything other than kindness and respect to all involved. He has been our friend, and will continue to be. We will miss him (the face of Millfield) but we wish him and Jess all the best for their future together. I know it is very exciting times for them and I know you will join me in thanking Joe for all his hard work.

Joe will assist us in finding a suitable replacement as he cares deeply about the future of Millfield Tennis.

I am sure he will pop in to say hi in the future (well he better anyway!).
