Court Access
There is new perimeter fencing and a new gate which provides access to the area in and around the pavilion. The SmartGate system which controls access to the courts now also controls access to the new perimeter gate. When you book a court, your PIN code for accessing the court you have booked will also work to open the perimeter gate (and will do so for the duration of your booking).
The gate has a self-closer so please do not leave the gate propped open for any reason and alway ensure it is closed when you leave. Exiting the gate is achieved by pressing the green exit release which is housed in the protective cowling.

Our membership year is from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026, and membership rates reduce for Winter membership only. Discounted Winter memberships are available from 1st October 2025 to 31st March 2026.
If you prefer not to join for the year a Public Pay and Play option is also available via our booking page on the website
East Of Scotland League 2025
Both Ladies teams are back down to divisions 4 and 6 this year but are keen to regain promotion. With Men’s teams in divisions 2 ,6, 8 and 10, we are looking forward to the challenges ahead.
Club Championship 2025 - 22nd-23rd August
Entries are in and matches have been drawn, details are pinned up at the pavilion.
There will be 5 senior events open to all members of the club - Mens singles, Ladies singles, Mens doubles, Ladies doubles, Mixed doubles. There will also be Plate competitions for events with a larger entry, for those who lose their 1st round, and Junior championships (details of these to follow from the coaches.)
In a slight change from previous years, the Men's and Ladies' doubles finals will be played on the evening of Friday, 22nd August, with the singles finals and mixed doubles on the afternoon of Saturday, 23rd August. Sunday, 24th August, is a reserve day in case of poor weather. Those taking part should be available for the ‘finals weekend.

Whether you’ve never played before, you play tennis socially or play competitively, you’ll get a warm welcome at MTC and you’ll love our four stunning artificial clay courts, installed during 2015. MTC operates in partnership with East Lothian Council and Enjoy Leisure and the courts are available for everyone in the community to enjoy.
MTC welcomes players of all ages and abilities with a range of activities and coaching to suit everyone, from minis to juniors to adults, there’s something for every level.

Tennis is one of the world’s most popular sports – millions of people play it and it’s easy to get started. From kids to seniors, it really is a sport for all. Aside from helping you keep fit and stay in shape, tennis is a great social sport. There are real benefits in introducing children to the sport of tennis too.
