County Coaching Team

Nottinghamshire Tennis has 10 coaches involved from different parts of the county. A brief description of them is below.

 

9u County Coaches

Jane Stokes runs our 9u girls team and was Chairman of Notts LTA for 2 years 1997 & 1998, in the past, Jane delivered County Training, introduced beginners courses to get more women playing the game and was our Junior Team Manager across all age groups. Jane has been a County Cup Captain for the girl's teams for many years as well as pulling in 6 years as the County Performance Officer, Chair of the Performance Committee and serving on the Coaching Committee.

James Harding- James has been involved in county tennis since 2017, managing our 9u boys team. James is also Head Coach at Caunton Tennis Club managing their programme in North Nottinghamshire.

10u County Coaches

Hugh Impey has been involed with county tennis since October 2018 runs our 10u boys team and  manages the programme at West Bridgford Tennis Club

Maria Cotton runs our 10u girls team and has been involved with County Training since 2019.  Maria coaches at Caunton Tennis Club.

12u County Coaches

Jamie Drummond runs our 12u boys team and has been involved with County Training since 2016. Jamie is the junior Manager at David Lloyd West Bridgford.

Zef Antoinio runs our 12u girls team and has been involved with County Training since. 2018.  Zef coaches at Caunton Tennis Club and at The Nottingham Tennis Centre

14u County Coaches

Carl Saxby runs our 14u boys team and has been involved with County Training since 2018.  Carl is a member of the On The Ball coaching team, working at Woodthorpe Tennis Club.

Andy Higham runs our 14u girls team and has been involved with County Training since 2018. Andy still coaches at West Bridgford Tennis Club where he has been a member for over 20 years, as well as studying an MAEd at The University of Nottingham

18u County Coaches

Callum Chivers first captained for the county in 2016 and now runs our Mens + 18u boys team and works for MyTennis as an academy coach alongside being Head Coach at Nottingham Trent University.

Sarah Wright first captained for the county in 2016 and now runs our Womens + 18u girls team. Sarah works full-time and coaches in her spare time, continuing to compete regularly in county leagues and is the Over 35s Captain for Great Britain in international competition.
