The club has been delighted to work with The Avenue School and offer their students the opportunity to experience tennis as part of their physical development lessons.

The 10 sessions run in the summer by our coach Damian Lane with a group of 12 club volunteers were such a success that a second course of 6 sessions was organised for the autumn.  This time an even larger class of 12 enjoyed six weeks on the courts in September and October.

The students relished learning physical strategies to play tennis by practising ball and racquet skills including catching, throwing and rallying. It was very satisfying to see the children delight in their time on court and grow confidence in their abilities. At the end of each term, their achievements were celebrated with medals and certificates.

The Club looks forward to continuing this partnership in 2025.
