Our Head Coach is Ian Lilly and he is qualified to LTA level 3, "Club Coach".  He joined Plumpton Tennis Club in February 2017 after more than 16 years working as the assistant to a level 5 performance coach at the Matchpoint Tennis Academy in Surrey.

Ian attended the Stonebridge Tennis Academy.  This is a unique coaching style/programme and playing course which attracts players from the UK and around the world.  Fewer than 5% of coaches complete this programme.

Ian will use his experience since 2001 as an LTA qualified coach to develop junior players whilst keeping a healthy amount of fun in every lesson.  For adults, Ian will help players find their game and lead them to a consistent level of performance and enjoyment.

Ian is also qualified in Cardio Tennis and has introduced club members to this alternative form of tennis based fitness training.
