Before anyone could play the courts needed sweeping, thank you to those who manned the brooms. The previous days high winds had caused debris and masses of acorns to fall on the courts.
We played our usual format, with a slight twist due to numbers, but was thoroughly enjoyed by first timers as well as old hands.
It was won by Paul Mitchell, an ex member and second was Eileen, a new member this month.
Afterwards we were treated to a lovely light lunch of homemade soup, cheese, bread and salad. Thank you Lynn, the soup was delicious.
Our next Sunday morning tournament is likely to be in January. Maybe give it a go next time.
