In the summer, RLTC teams playing Wilson Surrey League matches and other Committee-sanctioned matches, enjoy 'home advantage' by hosting their opposition on our front grass courts (nos. 1 & 2). 

To guard against a light rain-shower causing a fixture to be cancelled at the last minute (when the visiting team has already made the journey to Richmond), your Committee makes provision for the Teams to book 2 x hard courts as a back-up option (Hard Courts 3 & 4).

It is club policy that members who have booked front grass courts on a match day morning may be asked by the team captain to vacate the grass so that the Team can use the home advantage. If this happens, members who've booked to play on the front grass at that time will be immediately offered use of the reserved hard courts - so that everyone still gets the chance to play.

When booking for a match day, you may wish to play on the back grass courts instead.

Team matches tend to be scheduled to begin at 10.30am - normally on a Saturday or a Sunday morning (and very occasionally on  weekdays for our Midweek Teams). You will find these bookings made against Hard Courts 3 & 4 by checking the 'Book a Court' page.
