History

Saltford Lawn Tennis Club was first opened in 1960 when it was run by the local council.  In 2017, a group of 3 trustees submitted a proposal to BANES to run the club.  The council agreed and an asset transfer was agreed and now the club is self supporting. Since that takeover, the facilities have been graduallly upgraded with the help of grants and loans.  The 3 tarmacadam courts were resurfaced and painted, floodlights have been installed and a clubhouse has been built.  The fencing has been replaced and a 'Smart Gate' installed to allow access to non-members.

We offer a wide range of tennis for the whole community and pride ourselves on being, inclusive and accessible and the clubhouse has a disabled toilet.

We now have a thriving club with a record number of members and the courts are in use all year round.
