Tamworth Calls it Out Campaign
Tamworth Calls It Out campaign was launched on 19th September and ran through to 31st October.
The campaign is a town-wide initiative led by the Women’s Voices Focus Group in partnership with the Tamworth Community Safety Partnership (made up of Tamworth Borough Council and Tamworth Police). It focuses on raising awareness around sexism, harassment, and violence against women and girls, and aims to foster a safer and more respectful community.
Sports teams in Tamworth were invited to sign the Tamworth Calls It Out Commitment Charter – pledging support for respect, inclusion, and zero tolerance of harassment or abuse. The club were invited to join the campaign and the Directors unanimously agreed to support it.
The Charter was signed on 10th. October 2025.
Welcome to Spital Bowls and Tennis Club
Boasting a large crown bowling green and three floodlit, hard surface, all weather courts, there is hardly a better place to play bowls and/or tennis in Tamworth. We would say that because we are proud of our club and wish everyone in Tamworth area who loves bowls and tennis would join us! Details of playing arrangements can be found under the relevant section headings.
We are a fun and friendly club run by volunteers for the benefit of members and the local community. Whatever your age or ability, if you want to play tennis or bowls, this is the place to come. Take a look around our website to see what we offer and we look forward to seeing you. We welcome visitors and run open days and weekly tennis programmes that are open to all.

Tennis Season runs from 1st May to 30th April .
Join 1st March and enjoy 14 months membership for the price of 12.
Payments can be made online by a one off direct debit or credit/debit card.
No refunds given.
