Southwark Council tennis coaching
Southwark Council has put safeguards in place for coaching in parks so that people can participate safely and are not exposed to people that are unqualified, uninsured, or generally unsuitable. This is enabled by a coaching contract with organisations that have policies scrutinised to ensure good governance - meaning coaches with up to date qualifications, safety assessments for the activity, fees and charges that are publicly available, and are answerable to the Council for the quality of service. This approach is in line with the Lawn Tennis Association and consistent with other London Boroughs.
Any coaching on park courts not provided by our coach contractors below are breaking our terms of use, and if the court booker (whether the coach or the coachee) continues after warning will find their bookings and account deleted.

Our coaching team is managed by the National Tennis Association, a non for profit organisation that specialises in delivering community coaching across the UK.
Our programmes are delivered at Burgess Park, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth, Southwark Park and Tanner Street Park.
The programme offers professional weekly mini-tennis, and junior and adult coaching, along with offering holiday camps, competitions and fun tennis events for the whole family.
