THINKING OF JOINING OUR CLUB:
Whatever your experience or age, join us. We have a great social side to the club, and of course, great tennis with teams hugely successful in the North Somerset Tennis League (NSTL). In addition, we now have an outdoor padel court which is available to our members for hire at just £10.00 per hour.
We offer modern facilities having only moved to our new home in 2015 when we opened a new clubhouse.
Great coaching is available so come long and talk to James Mitchell about helping you get the best out of your tennis or padel. James will be able to assist you whether you are a complete novice or an experienced player. Visit our coaching page for more information.
We have a number of adult teams competing through the Summer and Winter within the North Somerset Tennis League (NSTL). In recent years we have been regularly successful with our teams winning division one titles in the men’s, ladies, mixed, and vets mixed categories. We are always looking for new league players to help us maintain this fine record.
Some frequently asked questions which may prove useful:
Can I use all the facilities?
As a member you are entitled to use all the Club’s facilities, including being able to hire our padel court for just £10.00 per hour.
What are your opening times?
In theory we are open all day and court availability is subject to the summary timetable on the home page. Keys to our entrance and the clubhouse are available from our treasurer, in return for a small deposit. This means you can let yourself in at any time. However, you need to consider that the main car park may not open until after 8am some days and will often be closed in the evening by the ‘Post and Wicket’ or by one of the other sports clubs when they finish. In addition, our floodlights only operate until 11pm at night.
Is coaching available?

Is there care for my children?
We don’t provide childcare at the Club. Children need to be supervised at all times.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you contact the Membership Team, they can help you.
Do you operate a booking system?
For our new padel court – YES. Our booking page is for the hire of the padel court. It is only available for members and costs just £10.00 per hour.
For our four tennis courts - NO. We do not operate a booking system at the moment for tennis, although this is constantly under review and will be looked again after we have learned more from our padel experience. For tennis we operate on a turn up and play basis. However, one court is reserved at all times for our coaches. This is court 5. If all four courts are in use and the coaches turn up for a lesson, the players on court 5 will need to step aside and wait for a different court to become free. Club competitions, league tennis and club social tennis will also take priority. We will always notify members when a club competition is taking place. During the months of April to July league tennis is played on a Monday and Tuesday evening with all 4 courts reserved from 6pm. Between October and March our teams play in the NSTL winter league on a Sunday morning, and our two Vets teams play on a Wednesday morning. It is likely that at least two if not all four courts will, be in use when league matches are being played. Fixtures for all teams in the summer and winter are on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. In addition, all 4 courts are reserved for the following: Men’s night on a Monday between July and March from 6pm to 8pm. Ladies night on a Tuesday between July and March from 6pm to 8pm. Social tennis between 6pm and 8pm on a Wednesday and Saturdays between 1pm and 3pm. Please refer to our calendar (if in use), the notice board, or email the membership secretary or coach for more information.
Can I bring my family members to the club?
Visitors/prospective new members may use the tennis courts (not padel) on three occasions before joining the club. Visitors’ fees apply: £3 per individual and £5 for couples.
A Pay and Play option for tennis (not padel) is available, members of the public can access the tennis courts by obtaining a key from The Village Shop. There is a charge of £5.00 per session and the key needs to be returned to The Village Shop after use. Note – there are times during the week when courts are unavailable.
