Treasurer Fundraising Update:
The club holds reserve funds built up over past years. The receipt of most of the annual membership subscriptions for 2025/6 has now enabled the release of these reserve funds towards the cost of the resurfacing of the top two courts. We expect the remaining £10,000 shown on the barometer to be met from a combination of a possible grant from the Parish Council, fund raising and a further release of club reserves, if necessary.
The resurfacing is scheduled to begin in Sept/Oct and a 15% deposit securing the contract has been paid. The bulk of the remaining cost will be paid at the end of October with the final 15% payment to be made in the Spring 2026 once the painting has been completed. The club's funds are then expected to be adequate but at a historically low point and we will aim to build them up again as soon as possible over future years.
