A FRIENDLY OPEN CLUB
We value our reputation as a friendly, open club that welcomes players of all ages and abilities. That’s why we were awarded Avon Tennis Club of the Year 2024. This recognises the involvement of all our members in playing tennis, social activities, coaching and volunteering!
Our Coaching team, teaching everyone from 3yrs up, (our oldest is 80!) has a strong reputation. Led by head coach Toby Huddlestone, who was Avon Tennis Performance Coach of the Year 2024, they make sure tennis is a fun activity while improving techniques and producing young players who now play at regional level.
For the competitive players we offer a chance to play in Ladies, Men’s and Junior County Leagues with our Ladies team playing Div 1 this year. We also offer internal club competitions.

Just want a game? Non-members Pay & Play Tennis. Book a court here up to 3 days in advance. Only £6 per hour. (+ £2 for use of floodlights)
Then decide whether you want to join the club or just book a court occasionally as a non member - either way you'll be made welcome!
What's available at the club?
We have four all weather artificial clay courts with floodlights, so you can play all year round. There's a comfortable clubroom with catering facilities and we're right next to the Almondsbury Creative sports bar. There's plenty of free on-site parking.
Social play: All members are welcome at the weekly club sessions such as Club Night (over 13yrs) and Tea & Tennis . All sessions are bookable online by members via links that are provided to them. Members also often organise friendly matches together.
Competition: Our Members Box Leagues are popular and our players also take part in County and National Competition with Men’s, Ladies and Junior Leagues played throughout the year, plus LTA and Members Tournaments.

Social events: The club runs occasional social events, some tennis based, some not, that all members are welcome to take part in. And members often use the Almondsbury Creative bar after playing. It provides food and drink at reasonable prices and their special events are certainly worth a visit.
