-
A friendly, supportive environment where we emphasise improvement and enjoyment side-by-side.

2. What is the tennis coaching programme schedule?
Our tennis coaching runs all year round on a summer and winter timetable, with group coaching sessions during school terms alongside private lessons available throughout the year.
Holiday Camps run during school breaks and holidays.
3. When should I book coaching sessions?
You can book for the entire academic year on a termly basis. Our terms typically last between 5 to 7 weeks and the booking windows opens early during the previous term.
4. What is your payment, booking and cancellation policy?
Booking is done via the website. Payment is processed when you book a term, block or private lesson. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details (e.g., notice period, how missed sessions are handled). We aim to be flexible and fair.
5. Are there any promotions, trial sessions or referrals?
Yes! We sometimes offer a trial session at a reduced rate so you can see whether the environment and coaching style suit you or your child. Also, if you refer a friend who books a term, you may be eligible for a referral bonus (discount or credit) - ask us for current details when you sign up.
6. Are holiday camps available?
Yes! Holiday camps run during school holidays and can be booked as part of the main programme (annual or termly bookings) or separately.
7. What should I know about winter coaching?
In the winter, the coaching sessions are adjusted to accommodate shorter daylight hours and park opening times. The group coaching runs on a Winter timetable as listed on the Junior and Adult sections of the website.
For the winter sessions, dress warmly with hats, gloves, and thick socks. Session times may be adjusted to accommodate shorter daylight hours.
8. What happens if I miss a session?
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details on missed sessions, cancellations, and refunds.
9. What happens if a session is cancelled due to bad weather?
We aim to notify participants at least 1 hour before the session start time via SMS, email, or WhatsApp. Cancelled sessions due to bad weather will be either rescheduled, credited toward a future session, or refunded if rescheduling is not feasible.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details on cancellations, credits and refunds.
10. What should I bring (or prepare) for a first session?
Simple steps to make your first session smooth:
-
Wear comfortable sports/tennis clothing, tennis shoes appropriate for the court surface, and bring a water bottle.
-
If you have your own racket, bring it - if not, we can provide guidance on an appropriate size.
-
Arrive a few minutes early so you can meet the coach, fill in any required forms, and warm up.
-
Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and willingness to try — we’ll take care of the rest!
11. What is your photography and video recording policy?
We occasionally take photos or short videos during coaching sessions, camps and events which may be used for our website, social media, newsletters or promotional materials. However:
-
We will only do so with consent. Prior to the session you (or your child’s parent/guardian) will be asked to complete a consent form opting in or out of being photographed/videoed.
-
If you opt out, we will ensure your child is not identifiable in any public images/videos or we respect the choice to exclude them altogether.
-
If you or your child appear in images and you later wish them to be removed from a public site, please let us know and we will update as soon as possible.
12. Why do you ask for a consent form for photos/videos?
The consent form is important because:
-
We are committed to safeguarding and respect the privacy of all participants (especially children).
-
It ensures we are compliant with best practice (e.g., from sports governing bodies) and transparent in how we use media.
-
It gives you control: you can choose whether you’re comfortable being in images, and in what context they are used.
By signing the form, you help us maintain a safe, respectful coaching environment.
13. What size tennis racket do I need?
Recommended racket sizes:
• 17 inches for ages 2–4 yrs
• 19 inches for ages 5–7 yrs
• 23 inches for age 8 yrs
• 25 inches for ages 9–10 yrs
• 27 inches for ages 11 yrs and older
Adult rackets are typically 27 inches in length, weighing between 260g and 310g. Women often prefer rackets between 255g–295g, and men tend to choose heavier rackets (300g+). Larger racket head sizes offer more forgiveness if you don’t hit the sweet spot. String patterns vary by personal preference.
14. How do I choose between single and double-handed backhands?
It’s a personal choice! Coaches usually recommend starting with a double-handed backhand when learning, but you can switch to a single-handed backhand later if you prefer.
15. How do you score in tennis?
Tennis uses traditional game scoring of 15, 30, 40, and game, plus tie-break scoring with specific rules. You’ll learn all about scoring in your coaching sessions.
16. What’s the earliest age children can start coaching?
You can begin learning tennis with us from as young as 3 years old.
17. What shoes should I wear?
Tennis shoes are best, designed to provide stability for tennis-specific movements. Choose shoes suited to your court surface - clay, hard, or grass.
18. What is tennis etiquette?
Tennis etiquette includes understanding the rules and principles of fair play and respect, such as shaking hands after matches, not talking during points, and not crossing courts during play.
