Bearsted & Thurnham Tennis Club

The Club was founded in 1979, and with this continuing evolution, maintains its original ethos – to offer excellent well-maintained facilities for all ages and abilities, as well as having a superb reputation for being a very social and family orientated club alongside a high standard of competitive tennis. Coaching programmes are available for all and the Club is particularly keen to encourage juniors. 

Play tennis all year round on 5 floodlit all-weather poraflex courts and 2 artificial clay courts.

There are no court fees – just one simple annual subscription plus initial joining fee covers everything. 

The Club prides itself on being managed and maintained through the goodwill of its Members, ensuring subscriptions remain low – the only paid staff are the cleaner and gardener. All other work at the club is purely on a voluntary basis, so Members are encouraged to play their part and offer their time or skills to help maintain the Club’s standards and reputation for having fantastic facilities and beautiful grounds.
