Bar, Clubhouse and Guest Policy from 4th July - A Welcome Change

I hope you are all well, playing lots of tennis, helping to keep your immune system strong. It is encouraging to see continued progress in the UK on the Coronavirus situation and I hope, like me, you welcome the further easing of Government restrictions. July 4th is a significant date for this, with the allowed re-opening of pubs and restaurants. We have looked at what this means for our Club and are pleased to announce the following changes here.

We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to serious players - come and join us!

Since its inception in 1979, and with the continuing evolution, the club maintains its original ethos – to offer excellent well maintained facilities for all ages and abilities, as well as having a superb reputation for being a very social and family orientated club alongside a high standard of competitive tennis. We offer coaching programmes for all and are particularly keen to encourage juniors. Currently there are circa 350 Members, many of which are families.

The club prides itself on being organised, maintained and run mainly through the goodwill of its Members. The only paid staff are the cleaner and the gardener. All other work at the club is purely on a volunteer basis, so we encourage members to play their part and offer whatever time or skills they can to help the club maintain its standards and reputation.

The Club is situated close to the Woodland Trust in the heart of Bearsted between the Holy Cross Church and the Ashford Road (A20)

Never played before?... Think it’s too difficult?... Nobody to play with?...

If you are thinking of joining but have some reservations, don't worry, we can help in various ways.

• We can introduce you to players of a similar ability.
• You can enrol on one of our great value 6 week coaching courses.
• Try before you buy – pay a pro-rata membership fee after the course if you wish to continue.
• Or why not come along and meet us at one of our Open Days?

And remember, there's no joining fee and we don't charge court fees either, so it's great value. Take a look at the benefits of membership here.
