Bishop's Castle Tennis Club

Welcome to Bishop’s Castle Tennis Club!

A friendly, welcoming and inclusive club set in the beautiful Shropshire Hills, offering great value for players of all ages and abilities.

We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with 'We Do Tennis' who will provide professional coaching with accredited LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Coaches.

For over 100 years, tennis has been played on our appropriately named Love Lane grounds, with their spectacular views of the south Shropshire hills, buzzards and red kites.

The courts are in a superb location adjacent to the A488 road, a short distance from the town centre. Car parking is available. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from town by public footpath.

We have 2 floodlit hard courts and an AstroTurf court which are played all year round.

The Club provides:

Social & competitive tennis for all ages and standards;
Coaching opportunities for those who want it;
We field a number of teams in the Shropshire LTA leagues.

FREE JUNIOR TENNIS CAMPS - AUGUST 2024

We have FREE junior tennis camps taking place on Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd August.

Starting at 10am-12pm for ages 5-10yrs and 12:30pm-2:30pm for ages 10-17.

Open to members and non-members, all abilities welcome. All our camps are delivered by an LTA Accredited Tennis Coach.

FREE TENNIS COACHING IN SEPTEMBER!

Membership -we have a range of attractive options including 3-month Taster memberships, available throughout the year.

New members of any age and standard are always welcome and no previous playing experience is necessary.
