Court Booking FAQs

Can I book a court if I am not a member? Yes, you can book court 3 as a non-member at the Activity Centre. You pay there but the Activity Centre's opening times are variable, so check with them before turning up.

Alternatively, you could sign up as a club member when you can book a court for a time that may suit you better - and the Activity Centre doesn't need to be open either.

When I try to open the “court bookings” tab it asks me to sign in. You have to join as a club member before you can view the booking sheet. When you join as a member you will create an account which will let you sign to book a court.

I've registered on the website but when I try to open the booking sheet it says "Access denied. You do not have the necessary permissions to carry out this action." Even if you have registered on the website, you have to join as a club member before you can view the booking sheet.

I’m a registered member but I'm not sure how to sign in. When you open the “court bookings” tab you will see a window with various bars corresponding to the method you used to register (LTA, Facebook, etc.).* If you select the appropriate bar it will take you through the sign-in process.
*Note that in future all registrations and subsequent sign-ins will be via the LTA and this window will be simplified.

My children are members but the website says I don't have the permissions to book a court. If it is your children who are the members and not you, you can book courts on their behalf by following these steps: 1. When you log on, at the top right of the screen you will see either your name or a head and shoulders symbol, depending on which device you are using. 2. Touch/click on this and from the drop-down menu select the child's name. 3. Go to the "court bookings" tab and select the court you want to use.
Note that at present you can only do this from the website, not from the "Booker" app.

The Activity Centre won’t let me pay and play on the courts. Only Court 3 is available for public play and sometimes the tennis club reserve it in advance for sanctioned club events. It is available at any other times the Activity Centre is open.

How do I access the courts once I’ve booked? If you’ve paid at the Activity Centre, they will arrange for a court gate to be opened. If you’re a member, you’ll be emailed a confirmation of your booking which will quote the current setting of the combination lock on the middle gate.

I’m a registered club member but the website won’t let me book a court. Most likely you haven’t updated your logon details as per the latest LTA instructions. Whatever way you used to sign in – Clubspark, Facebook, Google, Microsoft - you now have to merge those details with your existing LTA account, and in future log on to the website using your LTA username and password. The instructions for doing this are here:
ClubSpark-Login-Single-Sign-On-Support-Guide
Facebook-Google-Microsoft-Single-Sign-On-Support-Guide
If that doesn’t work for you get in touch with the club through coyltontennis@gmail.com.

I'm a registered club member but sometimes there’s a padlock symbol stopping me booking Court 3. Court 3 is normally reserved for public use so can’t be booked by members any time the Activity Centre is open. Members can still play on it if it’s free, but they have to give way immediately if a member of the public has booked and paid for it at the Activity Centre.

I’m a registered club member. How long can I book a court for. Club members can book one court for up to 2 hours every day, up to 7 days in advance. This is for fairness to other members who might also want to access the courts. When the time is up you can continue playing on the court if nobody else arrives.
