Warwickshire LTA Tennis Club of the Year!
We were delighted to be awarded the WALTA Tennis Club of the Year 2022 at the Warwickshire Lawn Tennis Awards in March 2023. This is a fantastic achievement and testament to the dedication and hard work of the Committee, volunteers, and all members who help make the Society what it is. The Oldest Lawn Tennis Club in the World
Founded in 1860, we are a friendly, social club located in the heart of Edgbaston next to the picturesque setting of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. We have a range of outdoor court surfaces allowing for year-round play. This includes two all-weather floodlit astroturf, two Italian Clay courts, and two brand new lit all-weather hard courts. In the summer months, we are especially privileged to have six grass courts for players looking for their Wimbledon fix. We offer individual and group coaching, cardio tennis, and many opportunities for social tennis throughout the week. Members can book courts for free at any time there is availability. For those seeking a competitive challenge, we have strong teams of all standards playing in local, regional, and national leagues.
