Ulverston replacement of indoor courts

Ulverston Tennis Centre

There is currently a public consultation on the proposed replacement of Ulverston Indoor Tennis Centre with a multipurpose sports centre. 

The main building would house a swimming pool, multi use hall and 2 dedicated indoor courts.  There would also be 2 outdoor courts, as well as numerous outdoor facilities for other sports.

The full proposal and Plan can be seen here, but it is a very lengthy report and relevant bits on tennis have been circulated to members (see page 46 of the proposal and the plan drawings)

You can help tennis to retain at least some indoor facility in South Lakes by completing the Survey here on the SLDC website until 19th December.
