Maryport Tennis Club

We are a small friendly tennis club based in the coastal town of Maryport on the West Cumbria coast. Our facilities include 4 floodlit tennis courts with year round access to members, we also have our own clubhouse adjacent to the courts. There is an active Facebook page for the club.

Maryport Tennis Club was 100 years old in 2019. 

We have an active adult section with weekly social tennis for all members to come down and play. 

Information on playing times, payments etc

There are organised social sessions on Monday 18:00 to 20:00, Wednesday and Friday mornings 10:00 - 12:00 and Sundays 17:00 to 19:00 in summer 14:00 - 16:00 when the clock changes. Cost is £2 which includes balls. Usually there is a committee member who collects the fees at the social sessions. Non-members £4 per session.

Members can also play on the courts at any time outside school hours. Members should pay £1 per person per hour (non members £2 per hour).

Lights are available at £1 per hour [there is a meter].

The annual membership fees for the 2026 season are:-

Seniors £40 (first year of joining £20),  Social Members £20, students juniors under 18 and unemployed £10.

Membership fees to be paid by 1 June 2026.

LEAGUE TENNIS

The club enters several teams (Mens, Womens & Mixed) in the West Cumbria Tennis Summer and Winter Leagues. 

TENNIS TOURNAMENTS

In 2026, the Tennis Club will also run tennis tournaments for  members of all abilities :-

           Sunday April 26th                               14:00 

           Saturday June 13th                            14:00     (followed by a BBQ)

           Sunday September 13th                    14:00

           Saturday January  2nd 2027              11:00
