To celebrate the FRENCH OPEN & the onset of Summer, on Saturday 10th June from 1pm we are running a FUN Doubles event for ALL Club Adults & Juniors. Partnerships can be sorted on the day so you can enter with or without a partner. We also aim to use all courts between 1pm & 3/4pm & we aim to have age & ability groupings.
FULL DETAILS
WHEN: Saturday 10th June from 1pm - afternoon only, will run to approx 3/4pm
- NB - JUNIORS WHO USUALLY ATTEND 12-3pm can attend at 12pm as we will run the normal first 12-1pm hour, then switch them to the FUN Doubles event (at no extra cost). Full Court Juniors that attend 10am-12pm can switch to 12-3pm to join the FUN Doubles event although we will run a similar event for mini's & juniors that attend that session (10am-12pm) & 9-10am Mini's & parents can stay on to join the FUN!
WHO: ALL Club Adults + club juniors who can play full court with the harder yellow balls will be in age & ability groupings. If we get enough interest from younger juniors & parents e.g. 6-9 year olds we will run a group specific for them
WHAT: DOUBLES - sign up either as a pair or as an individual & we can match players on the day. Matches will feature a simple handicap system & pairings can be any suitable combination for the ability grouping
ENTER either by signing up on the sheets in the clubhouse (noticeboard) or notify club coaches
COST: £5 - there will be lots of PRIZES, discounted RACKETS & CLUB CLOTHING, & DEMO RACKETS to TRY
Some light refreshments will be provided by the club coaches, including Ice Lollies etc...
Bring a PICNIC & have a jolly family afternoon
If you have anything to sell you can set up a mini table or display for FREE, whether for charity or for pocket money!
NB: If anyone has any unused rackets, bring them along to either try to sell or to donate to the club rackets for coaching or lending

This event is also a chance to get to know other members in the club & find out what is happening, plus we will support any initiative to get increased activity so feel free to come along with any ideas.
We are attempting to add back weekend club sessions & have seen increased attendance at our daytime & evening club sessions. Most of our club sessions operate WhatsApp groups to indicate & help promote attendance.
